P3 Art Field Trip!! I took P3 to a local park and everyone had fun drawing with crayon and then painting them with watercolors! It was a super hot day but everyone worked hard to capture the scenery!

P5 After learning about Joan Miro, we started the new school year off with English Name Pictures. They did a great job using lots of bright bold colors and patterns. Can you read their names?!?

P4 "From Strings of Clay".

P3 Clay Self Portraits! Besides P4,P5, and P6, I started teaching P3 this year. After learning about Rodin, we started the new school year off with these! It was a lot of fun to see how they sculpted themselves!

P6 Self Portraits! We started the new school year off with these. They chose warm or cool colors that reflected their pose or their mood.

P4 Art Trip to Sai Kung Old Town! I had a hard time editing down the student's work to share with you. Everyone did their best to capture the scenery!

P4 Japanese Woodblock Carving and Printing! This year, after learning about Totem Poles and American artist Sue Coccia, the students sketched their ideas, then carved animals and filled them with the animal's spirit! Carving was hard work for many students but they were excited to see their final prints! Enjoy!

P5 and Japanese UKIYO-E! After learning about the Edo period in Japan, the students worked together as a class to copy these famous Ukiyo-e prints! They found it challenging to change the scale and did their best to make sure their part connected with the surrounding pieces. They did a great job and made a beautiful display for our Open Day for parents.
