P4 Japanese Woodblock Carving and Printing! This year, after learning about Totem Poles and American artist Sue Coccia, the students sketched their ideas, then carved animals and filled them with the animal's spirit! Carving was hard work for many students but they were excited to see their final prints! Enjoy!

P5 and Japanese UKIYO-E! After learning about the Edo period in Japan, the students worked together as a class to copy these famous Ukiyo-e prints! They found it challenging to change the scale and did their best to make sure their part connected with the surrounding pieces. They did a great job and made a beautiful display for our Open Day for parents.
Origami Crane Art Installation and Art Exchange!! We recently had the first ever art exchange with the Japanese and International section students. Everyone had a great time! They folded many paper cranes, splatter painted them in a Jackson Pollock style, then strung them to make a colorful installation on our ground floor lobby. It was a successful event and fun day!
